SAIC To Host Maryland Regional Small Business Conference At Ripken Stadium In Aberdeen

Company to Assist Small Businesses Transitioning From Fort Monmouth, N.J., as a Result of U.S. Department of Defense Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC)


(ABERDEEN, Md.) June 15, 2010 -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] today announced it is hosting the Maryland Regional Small Business Conference June 15 in Aberdeen, Md. The conference brings together members of the local community with small businesses and government customers operating in the area. This conference will assist in the transition of small businesses from Fort Monmouth, N.J., to Aberdeen, Md. as a result of U.S. Department of Defense Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC). The conference will be located at Ripken Stadium on the BMW Bel Air Club Level from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m.

Babak Nouri, SAIC vice president and small business program director, will give an overview of SAIC's government and business relationships in the state. Officials from the U.S. Army will discuss the Army's small business program. Customer and acquisition panels will include speakers from the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM), U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM), and Aberdeen Proving Ground program personnel.
