SAIC Enterprise Solutions Business Unit Achieves ISO 20000 Certification
SAN DIEGO and McLEAN, Va., May 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) announced today that it has been awarded International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 20000 certification. SAIC is one of the first organizations in the U.S. to receive this certification. The certification was awarded after an independent audit of SAIC's North American Integrated Services Management Center (NAISMC) by the British Standards Institute (BSI).
ISO is a network of national standards institutes from 157 countries, with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The first formal international standard certifying the implementation of information technology service management (ITSM) at the organization level, ISO 20000 is based on the BS 15000 standard and the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practice framework.
The NAISMC, located in Oak Ridge, Tenn., is a world-class IT service management facility that integrates people, processes, technology and customer business strategies to provide comprehensive, business-focused services and solutions to customers around the world. The NAISMC serves as the anchor for a full portfolio of enterprise services and adjunct facilities having additional certifications, including Capability Maturity Model (R) Integration Levels 3 and 5 and ISO 9001-2001.
