SAIC Awarded GSA Contract to Support Army and National Guard Programs

April 1, 2004
(MCLEAN, VA) – A team led by SAIC announced today it has been awarded a task order to provide support to the Army Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS) program and the National Guard Distributive Training Technology Project (DTTP). The General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) awarded the task order through the GSA Millennia contract.

This cost-plus-fixed-fee task order is for one base year with a value of $5,468,555, and has four one-year options with an aggregate value of $25,155,492 for a total potential value of $30,624,047. The U.S. Army Program Executive Officer for Information Systems and the Chief Information Officer of the National Guard Bureau are responsible for the acquisition, enhancement, and sustainment of the RCAS and DTTP. The scope of this task order encompasses all activities necessary to provide the joint RCAS and DTTP program management office (PMO), and all PMO subordinate elements, with advisory assistance services in the areas of program and project management, technical quality assurance, configuration management, program analysis and evaluation, information assurance, system engineering life cycle support, and training support.

“The goal of this task order is to collaborate with the combined program office in providing program and project management, technical quality assurance, configuration management, program analysis and evaluation, information assurance, system engineering life cycle support and training support,” said SAIC senior vice president and general manager Gerry Anderson. “This is an important win for the company, enabling us to continue to work closely with the Army and National Guard as they meet the manning, training, deployment and sustainment challenges of both the Title 32 state responsibilities as well as the Title 10 federal missions for the worldwide war on terrorism.”

Members of SAIC's team include BearingPoint located in McLean Va.; SNVC located in Fairfax, Va.; Tri Star Engineering located in Bedford, Ind.; and Premier Technical Services in Sterling, Va.

GSA FEDSIM is a program under the Federal Technology Service providing over $1.3 billion per year in large-scale project support to federal agencies.
