(SAN DIEGO AND MCLEAN, VA) - Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) today announced that Corporate Executive Vice President Duane P. Andrews has been promoted to chief operating officer (COO). Andrews will continue to serve on SAIC's board of directors. Andrews previously served as the president and COO of SAIC's federal business where he oversaw all federal activities for the company.

Prior to joining SAIC in 1993, Andrews was assistant secretary of defense for Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (C3I). He also has served on various national security advisory groups and commissions and was a professional staff member with the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
